Africell Celebrates Subscribers with NLe 100,000 in “Win Kopo” Rewards

Africell Sierra Leone has once again put its subscribers in the spotlight, awarding a total of NLe 100,000 to four lucky participants in its ongoing “Win Kopo” promotion. The ceremony, held on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at the company’s Wilberforce headquarters, highlighted Africell’s commitment to rewarding loyalty, fostering community engagement, and celebrating its 25th anniversary with tangible benefits for subscribers.

The four winners—Abdul Kamara, Abibatu Deen, Foday Kallon, and Michael Kargbo—each received NLe 25,000 in cash prizes. Their joy and surprise underscored the growing excitement around “Win Kopo,” which continues to energize Africell’s customer base across the country. For Abibatu Deen, a subscriber of over 15 years, the win was a long-awaited affirmation of the promotion’s credibility. “When I got the call, I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “Now I know Africell’s promotions are real, and I will encourage others to participate and believe in them.”

Africell’s Media Manager, Abdul Karim Sesay, emphasized that the promotion is part of a larger strategy to strengthen the network’s connection with the community. “We designed ‘Win Kopo’ not just to reward loyalty, but to engage, educate, and give back to our subscribers,” he said. Sesay added that the promotion reflects Africell’s core values of inclusivity, transparency, and sustained customer support.

The event also provided an opportunity to showcase the broader scope of Africell’s promotional initiatives. Deputy Media Manager, Abdul Aziz Kamara, shared that the “Win Kopo” campaign has so far produced 452 daily winners of NLe 250, totaling NLe 113,000; 25 weekly winners of NLe 2,500, amounting to NLe 62,500; seven monthly winners of NLe 25,000, totalling NLe 175,000; and two grand winners of NLe 250,000, representing NLe 500,000. Altogether, 486 participants have won NLe 850,000 in prizes, demonstrating the widespread reach and impact of the initiative.

Kamanda Koroma, Africell’s Communication and Marketing Manager, noted that these efforts are part of a larger plan to deliver tangible benefits to subscribers while reinforcing the company’s presence nationwide. He also highlighted the ongoing “Jubilee Jumbo” promotion, which offers prizes ranging from cash rewards and smartphones to an Okada, a generator, and a fully furnished house as the grand prize. Koroma encouraged subscribers to participate actively and assured them of the transparency and fairness of the promotions.

Adding a community dimension, Africell’s Events and CSR Manager, Nancy Toure, explained that initiatives like “Win Kopo” allow the company to connect with its audience beyond telecommunications services. “Our subscribers are more than customers; they are part of our extended family,” she said. “Through these promotions, we celebrate their loyalty and continue to invest in their welfare.”

The ceremony also featured lively interactions and testimonials from winners, creating an atmosphere of celebration and camaraderie. While “Win Kopo” continues to reward subscribers monthly, Africell plans to expand engagement further with an upcoming marathon featuring 5km, 10km, and half-marathon categories, which promises additional rewards for participants.
