Sorie Sulaiman Sesay Boosts Bai Bureh Warriors FC

Sorie Sulaiman Sesay, a proud son of the soil, has demonstrated a strong commitment to grassroots sports development by making a significant donation to the Bai Bureh Warriors Football Club The timely support comes as a morale booster for the team and underscores his continued dedication to uplifting football and community life in Port Loko. His gesture has been widely welcomed by supporters, players, and club officials alike.

The donation comprised a substantial consignment of sporting items, including 20 pairs of football boots, two full sets of track suits (blue and red), consisting of 60 pairs, and 20 original footballs including a pair of goalkeeper gloves. Notably, five of the footballs were presented to East End Lions Football Club during the second half of their encounter with Bai Bureh Warriors at the Port Loko Mini-Stadium on Saturday, 6th December 2025. This act of sportsmanship highlighted Sesay’s broader vision of promoting football beyond club loyalties.

Speaking during the presentation, Sorie Sulaiman Sesay expressed profound gratitude to the management and leadership of the club for their relentless efforts in steering the team forward. He paid special tribute to the Club President, Hon. Rachel Mariatu Sesay Pessima, Mayor Alie Badara Tarawallie, Chairman Santigie Ibrahim Kamara, and other stakeholders who have contributed greatly to the growth and stability of the Bai Bureh Warriors Football Club over the years.

Sorie Sulaiman Sesay further used the occasion to rally residents of Port Loko to support his flagbearer aspiration, emphasizing that the district deserves the opportunity to lead the APC after years of deprivation. He stressed that supporting the Bai Bureh Warriors is a collective responsibility, noting with pride that his late father once played for the team and earned the nickname “Kalala” through his exploits on the field. This personal connection, he said, deepens his commitment to the club’s success.

In response, the management of Bai Bureh Warriors Football Club expressed heartfelt appreciation to Sorie Sulaiman Sesay for what they described as timely and impactful support. They noted that the donated items would go a long way in enhancing player performance and team morale. The management also appealed to other sons and daughters of Port Loko to emulate this gesture by continuing to support the team as it strives for greater achievements in Sierra Leone football.
