Kenema city came alive this week as First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio embarked on a highly anticipated visit, drawing thousands of residents, supporters, and community groups eager to welcome her. The streets were awash in green, the signature color of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), as enthusiastic youth, traders, and students lined the avenues to honor a leader widely recognized for her dedication to community service, women’s empowerment, and education.
The visit, described by locals as a “homecoming of inspiration,” highlighted the First Lady’s growing influence not only as a national figure but as a unifying force within the ruling party.
