The Rawlings Foundation Sierra Leone is looking for qualified candidates between the ages of 20-40 to fill in the following positions:

  • Facility Manager

The facility manager’s goal is to ensure that all buildings grounds and properties are safe and efficient and meet all building codes and regulations as deemed necessary. Additionally, the facilities and properties appearance should always be maintained to its highest level so that all guest and visitors will have a higher level of comfort and safety while visiting the property and maintain a healthy work atmosphere.

Education Qualification :

  • BS/BA degree in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field.
  • Relevant professional qualifications(eg CFM ) will be an advantage
  • Basic English

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical thinking
  • Basic Computer skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinates all phases of construction installations (telecommunications HVAC A/V, electricity etc)improvement and refurbishment
  • Negotiate bids and contracts for third party contractors and review current vendor contracts.
  • Coordinates with departments head and contractors
  • Supervise all facility staff(maintenance ,grounds keepers, cleaning, kitchen etc
  • Supervise all external contractors, vendors and all service , food and supply providers
  • Plan building and maintenance operational safety programs as well as disaster recovery plans
  • Develop training programs for maintenance
  • Manage the facility inventory
  • Manage the upkeep of kitchen equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
  • Manage Preventive maintenance schedules for all motorize vehicles
  • Inspect buildings structures and game stations to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize cost and efficiency
  • Prepare operating reports and budgets
  • Prepare and file report with government and regulatory authorities, including environmental permitting.
  • Recommends hiring and termination when needed.

Requirements

  • Be consistent with the foundation’s mission and vision and be able to cast the vision throughout every department
  • Follow the manual of operations policies and procedures handbook
  • Able to multitask prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proven experience as a facility manager or relevant position
  • Self-motivated, self-directed , goal oriented and organized team player
  • Encouraging team staff, able to mentor, lead and assist team members to accomplish team goal
  • Experience in compiling and following strict budget
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.

Physical Requirement

  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work outside in rough terrain and cold and hot conditions
  • Weekend work may occasionally be required.

(2)  Store /Warehouse Manager

 Over sees operations at the warehouse or storage facility to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule’

 Education Qualification:

BA degree in Store or Ware house management /HND and Diploma Certificate in related fields

Skills and Abilities

  • Basic Computer skills
  • Great inter persona skills
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping inventory control practice and logistics

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To control all over activities in store department
  • To ensure both quality and quantity of materials entering the store
  • To maintain Proper records of all goods entering the warehouse
  • To initiate purchase requisitions for the warehouse
  • Preparing schedules for the warehouse associates
  • Training employees on how to use machinery
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards
  • Establish Ware practices and protocols to achieve an efficient ware house
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure product are shipped in a timely manner

Requirements

  • The warehouse or store manager is expected to have a minimum of at least five years’ experience working in a ware house or stores,
  • Experience in maintaining inventory of records, tracking stock levels and ensuring sufficient supplies are available
  • Experience in recovering inspecting incoming goods verifying them against purchase order and reporting discrepancies
  • Experience in storage and organizing inventory in an efficient and safe manner ensuring proper storage condition
  • Record keeping , maintaining accurate records of all inventory transaction, including receipt and invoices
  • Managing stock levels, ensuring efficient use of space and prevent over storage
  • Keeping the warehouse/Store clean and safe including basic maintenance task

 The successful candidate expected to receive goods, inspect and verify goods, monitor stock level and maintaining a clean and organized work place.

He is also required to be consistent with the Foundation’s mission and vision and able to cast the vision throughout every department.

Hospitality Manager/Supervisor

He/she is responsible to overseeing operations, ensuring excellent service, managing staff and maintaining high standards in the facility department. Women are encouraged to apply for this position. He/she will be responsible to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the offices, Apartments/Dormitories and the entire facility premise to meet sanitation requirements and provide a confortable space for employees and a presentable meeting place for all guest .The successful candidate is required to be consistent with the Foundation’s mission and vision and able to cast the vision throughout every department.

Education

HND / Diploma Certificate in Hospitality management and other related field

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Supervise varieties of cleaning activities such as sweeping dusting and polishing furniture’s in the offices and apartments
  • Ensure the offices and rooms are cared for and inspected daily according to standards
  • Supervise the cleaning and sanitize the toilet showers etc
  • See that the windows and curtains, drapes in the apartments are washed every week
  • Empty trash and dispose of waste in the offices and apartments
  • Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens toiletries and other supplies
  • Monitors cleaning supplies and consumables and order more as needed
  • Report any damage or repairs needed
  • Deal with complaint and request with professionalism and patience
  • Adhere strictly to the organization’s rules regarding health, safety and other administrative guidelines
  • Assist guest when and where necessary.
